About Me
Carol is recognized globally as a leader in product design. She is a passionate evangelist who inspires teams to make data informed decisions and to focus on bringing value to humans. Her experience includes: • 17 years of product design: conducting UX research studies and solving interaction design problems. • 10 years of management experience of diverse, international teams of designers and other technical teams, including visual designers, interaction/UX designers and UX researchers. • 11 years leading the integration of UX design people and practices into Agile software development teams. • 3 years improving artificially intelligent (AI) systems and demystifying AI by speaking to world-wide audiences. • Strategic visioning work in large organizations with individuals at all levels for major products and services. • International recognition as a thought leader in UX - she has been a speaker at over 100 events around the world on UX design, Agile and AI topics. • Mentoring and community organizer - she was recognized with the UXPA President's Award in 2014 for furthering both the organization and the field of usability. • Selected for the prestigious IBM Health Corps program working with the American Cancer Society to improve Sub-Saharan African communities access to cancer treatment in 2016.
