About our project

The INDEMO 1.0 Mission

Ambulances need to be updated for the 21st century. The standard design is decades old and we can do better. So a team of doctors and researchers from around the world came up with a better solution. INDEMO 1.0 — an open source ambulance designed for the future that you can have right now. We want the whole world to benefit from our hard work so we at the EMS Safety Foundation thank you for joining our MedStartr campaign and becoming part of the INDEMO family.

Unlike today’s ambulances, INDEMO 1.0 has a unique rear compartment that is configurable so you can get the feeling of being in a cutting edge rig. Integrating innovations from around the world for the North American market and built into a standard van.

Based on state of the art science and practice and input from the world’s leading experts in automotive safety and human factors. Our designs are safer, better, AND cheaper. You can bring our designs to your preferred manufacturer and you can have the future right now. INDEMO 1.0 is EMS Safety Foundation’s new Demonstration Project: the Ambulance Safety INDEMO 1.0, Innovation Design Module 1.0

Sneak Peak

INDEMO was a huge success at the EMS World Expo Sept 10-12 in Las Vegas this year. Take a look at a few pictures from the event and “watch footage on YouTube!”

You can also watch our team out doing their hands on research around the globe to find the best designs for you We are proud of all the hard work it took to make INDEMO a reality.

What you get for Supporting our Mission and why Open Source Licensing?

We want the world to benefit from the INDEMO and the mission to change the way ambulances are designed.

We want to release the knowledge to build INDEMO ambulances around the world — the future you can have now. But we also want to be able to provide exclusive access to this information set as a reward for participating in this crowd funding project. As a compromise is to use an “Open Source Eventually” license for the data.

If you contribute $150 to this campaign we will provide you with exclusive access to the INDEMO blueprints for six months — the price will double immediately after the crowdfunding campaign. At $500 we will provide 3-D CAD drawings for INDEMO before the price doubles immediately after the crowdfunding campaign. While your organization can wait 1 year to access the plans for free under the “Open Source Licensing” agreement, the advantages to getting the data in advance are extensive and exciting!

What is our big goal and how we will use the funding?

We have big plans and need your help! With $25,000 we can fulfill our rewards and get going on the next, even better INDEMO 2.0!
